Mission Statement
Education Assistance Corporation (EAC) is a private nonprofit corporation located in Aberdeen, SD, which was established in 1978 to guarantee loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program. Through our subsidiary, EASCI, we service student loans for lenders. We also provide financial aid information and technical service to students and schools.
We believe that the most important thing we have to offer our customers is outstanding customer service. As a result we strive to provide fast, efficient, and friendly service to the students, parents, schools, and lending institutions.
Our mission is to provide financial access to post-secondary education through a service-oriented approach to students, schools, and lenders.
EAC's Purpose
EAC's primary purpose is to provide services to:
- post-secondary students
- educational institutions
- lending institutions
- high school students and their parents
- high school counselors
EAC is a guarantor for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). This includes:
- Federal Stafford Loan Program (subsidized and unsubsidized)
- Federal PLUS Loan Program
- Federal Consolidation Loan Program
Educational Assistance Service Company, Inc. (EASCI)
We believe we have brought the concept of "one stop shopping" to a new level. We have done this through our subsidiary called Educational Assistance Company, Inc. (EASCI).
EASCI's Purpose
The purpose of EASCI is to originate and service FFEL Program and alternative loans made by lending institutions that contract with EASCI to perform this service.
