Unemployment Deferment
- You must be conscientiously seeking but unable to find full-time employment.
- Stafford, SLS, PLUS, and Consolidation loans are eligible for this type of deferment.
- There is a 36-month time limit for loans borrowed on or after July 1, 1993. Loans older than this are subject to a 24-month time limit.
